Power Station No. 6, also known as the Glenwood Power Plant, sits in ruin just a few miles north of New York City. This relic of history once powered the first electric rails for the New York Central Railroad and trains running out of Grand Central Terminal. The construction of the building was completed in 1906 in conjunction with the redesign of New York City's Grand Central Terminal - looking closely, you will notice the similar architectral elements of the two buildings: High, brick arches, ornate metalwork, and thoughtful stone accents just to name a few. Abandoned in 1968, the building has been at the mercy of the elements and the visitors that leave their mark on the aging brick walls.
